Ford Improves Sync 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Ford Motor Company has announced an update it’s recent introduction of the third generation SYNC “infotainment” system with the news that it will now come standard on all 2017 models and with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity.
In addition, Sync Connect technology will add the ability to remotely start vehicles, unlock doors, check the level of fuel and help drivers find their parked cars.
All vehicles sold within the United States as 2017 models and equipped with Sync 3 will have these new features, and Ford says the Escape will be the first to roll out. Other 2017 models will follow shortly and owners of 2016 models “will have the opportunity to upgrade later in the year.”
