Ford just announced that the highly anticipated EcoSport is going to appear in Marvel Studios’ “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and we couldn’t be more excited!

The compact SUV, set to go on sale early 2018, will star in the new film debuting in theaters May 5 along with being included in the upcoming TV commercials promoting the film and the exclusive digital comic.

It comes as no surprise that this small SUV will be featured alongside the beloved Baby Groot character, a tiny and energetic bundle of branches and twigs who is sure to be a fan favorite in the upcoming film. The combination of this spunky little guy and the smallest model in Ford’s best-selling SUV lineup is an ingenious fit. Chantel Lenard, the executive director of Ford U.S. marketing, described the partnership as, “a perfect way to share how Eco Sport turns every drive into a chance to live big, enabling our Earth-bound customers to experience as many adventures as ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ offers.”

The EcoSport incorporates Ford’s impressive technology standards, including a floating 8-inch touch screen and Wi-Fi hotspot, SYNC Connect, as well as the ability to start, lock, unlock and locate the vehicle using FordPass®. Additionally, customers have the choice between the award-winning 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost® or 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, and over 10 different exterior color choices and seven interior ambient lighting options.
